Self deprecating (that’s d-e-p-r-e-c-a-t-i-n-g), indefatigable, pragmatic Northerner with no eye/hand co-ordination, or talent for anything (with the notable exceptions of drinking and swearing), seeks similar.

If we were casting the film of my life: In my mind Pacino would play me ... as far as my friends are concerned it’s probably Brian Glover in an Orange wig.

I’ve got the kind of memory that hoards useless cultural trivia, and the kind of mates that make that sort of stuff a daily topic of conversation, I’m okay at cooking, better at eating, an expert at sleeping and a terrifying driver.

I enhance my various character flaws by using irony and sarcasm as my preferred methods of verbal communication, by not taking anything too seriously, and by being able to keep a straight face when necessary.
My feminine side is bit of a dim light at the end of the tunnel - but I can make it shine when required !

I’m lucky to have a job so great that I can’t believe it’s legal. I get to drink tea, argue, and spend people’s money on ideas that were seemingly dreamed up in a cab on the way to the meeting – how cool is that ?

I’m under-read, poorly travelled, badly informed and yet somehow still incredibly opinionated. Through luck, coincidence and bitter experience I’ve reached the point in both my personal and work life where I know I can do anything I want - and it’s a very liberating feeling – although that unfortunately doesn’t include being an astronaut, or anything that needs real skill or ability.

I do genuinely “live the life I love, and love the life I live” (cheers Willie), and just think that it’d be great to share some of it with someone fun.
